Conquest Mode
BFBC2 CQ mode
Conquest mode was introduced to FPS through the Battlefield 1942 demo back in 2001. It was the main mode in every battlefield game up until Bad Company. In conquest mode each team is given a set amount of tickets (usually the same amount or extra given to the attacking team.).
There are control points set up all around the map. Capturing more control points at once than your opponents will cause their tickets to slowly bleed. Getting a kill on an enemy drains 1 ticket. Who ever runs out of tickets first loses.
Conquest Mode Vehicles
Conquest is played on big maps. Sprinting is nice but getting onto a control point in less than 30 seconds from spawning usually requires a ride. Jeeps and ATVs are key to quickly capturing flags, Tanks and APCs are clutch for holding those points down once you have them.
Leaving vehicles in your spawn will cripple your team's efforts.

Using jeeps and ATVs causes the other team to break up making them easier to handle for small squads. Driving around the map in a jeep and respawning team mates at empty flags is fun and makes life hell for defenders.
If you aren't good at winning fire fights this is a perfect way to help your team.
Putting your armor into play also has an effect on your opponents. It forces them to take cover and move slower. It will also cause them to spawn in engineers. Bad news for tankers, but good new for attacking infantry.
Even if the armor isn't getting a massive amount of kills those other effects help guys on the ground.
Conquest Mode The first wave
The first 30 seconds of a game is the most important. Both teams are scrambling to get flags and put the bleed on first. Don't waste fast moving vehicles on the close flags. Jeeps and ATVs should be use to drop guys off at the highly contested middle flags.

Tanks and foot soldiers should cap the close flags. Seeing an entire team crowd around the closest flag is common and stupid. It's a waste of time and pretty much guarantees the other team will take middle and get the bleed, not worth it for a couple extra points.
Conquest Mode Classes
Classes in conquest are almost never static. Be ready to switch at a moments notice. Your kit choice should be decide by conditions on the battlefield. If you get killed by a tank don't choose assault then spawn on the other side of the map.
Use that chance to spawn in engineer and stop that tank from taking any more tickets. Engineer is one of the most important kits in the game. Without them armor is just going to cut down your tickets. Not to mention they can also keep your teams armor healthy.

Snipers should be used sparingly in conquest mode. A high powered rifle isn't very good for capturing flags. Sitting in the corner killing one guy every 5 minutes isn't helping anybody but the other team.
Medics are another important class. They have the ability to revive team mates and prevent the loss of a ticket. Every squad should have at least one medic. All those revives add up at the end of a round.
Their heavy machine guns also kick massive ass when fired in single shot bursts.
Conquest Mode Moving Around the Map
Capturing flags wins the game but you have to get in radius first. The beautiful thing about battle field is how open ended it is. There's dozens of ways to get from on flag to another. In battlefield cover is king.
DON'T STAND OR WALK IN THE OPEN! Doing either of those things will get you killed by a tank or a sniper, and you will deserve it.
Every control point is connected to another control point in multiple ways through side paths. Using these will not only get you on the flag but it may also put your behind an enemy setting you up for an easy kill.
Once you're actually in radius and capturing a flag don't sit right on top of the pole. Ever player on the map will see the flag go grey, the first place they are going to look is right at the flag so don't be there.
Find a spot that will cover at least your toes. Once your in that spot strafe from side to side and spin around checking for enemies. Never assume your safe when capturing a flag.
