CoD4 Grenade, a huge part of the game. Especially when used for prenading. A prenade is just throwing a grenade at the start of a round at a set area or a choke point or objective. These are extremely important in search and destroy. Lets take a closer look at how they work.
CoD4 Grenade the Prenade
Why bother with grenades when you have a gun? Its a lot easier to get a kill with a nade then it is with a gun, you barley have to aim. Its even better when you have a set spot to aim at that pretty much guarantees you a kill.Prenades are also a large part of map control in Call of Duty 4. You can stop players from rushing, or entering a certain part of the map. This is the real reason why CoD4 grenades are so key.
How to Prenade in Call of duty 4
If your playing on PC learning nade spots is easy. All you have to do is load devmap by typing "/devmap mp_strike" (or what ever map you want besides mp_strike). Once the map is loaded you can use "/give all" to get unlimited grenades and "/noclip" to see where your grenades are landing.
There are an infinite amount of spots you can learn, so I'll only go over a few examples. To learn these you have to load up a server and do the work, not too hard it just takes a lot of time going over the map and figuring them out.

Lets take a look at mp_strike this map has a good amount of prenades. Dont forget these are only a few of the more common ones, theres plenty more you can figure out to compliment these.
DefenseThis prenade is for defense, you throw it outside the wall next to the dumpsters at A.
Make sure you run and jump as you throw the nade for good distance.
It should hit near the cars,This will stop the attackers from being able to rush statue. You should practice this nade until you can blow up or catch the cars on fire consistently.
Offense
This one is thrown from the wall near spawn.
Like the other one you run and jump while you throw, aim your cross hair between the tips of the 2 trees.
This should hit by the trash cans at A site. This stops the defenders from getting into position in A quickly.
Nade Conclusion
These nades are most effective in search and destroy, they might work some times in other game modes but aren't as big a factor. The more competitive you are the more you should know, competing in leagues/ladders other teams are going to be using these so be ready. Dont forget to adapt, if your nades aren't getting frags try new spots or change your timing.
