CoD4 Crossfire Map GuideCoD4 Crossfire, if you like sniping you probably like this map. In this guide I'll break down the map going through spam spots, nades and key info for mp_crossfire. CoD4 Crossfire WeaponsCrossfire is a well rounded map with a little bit of every thing for what ever gun you prefer. There are 2 classes of weapons this map favors however.Assault Rifles This map is perfect for assault rifles. Its not at all uncommon to see players picking each other off from inside buildings on opposite sides of the street. M4 and Ak47 are the best tools for the job on mp_crossfire. Prenades aren't too bad on this map but wall spam is huge. If your the guy running assault then its worth it to learn all the wall spam. Sniper Rifles The other favorite class in this long range CoD4 map. Snipers usually exchange shots from far ends of the map from one hotel to the other. In search and destroy its key that the sniper isn't afraid to get aggressive if the other team is able to cross the street early. CoD4 Crossfire Prenade and Wall SpamPrenades aren't a huge factor on mp_crossfire. There are a few on offense that can break up the flow of defenders. Wall spam is a big factor on this map. I'll go over a few of the more popular spots. Its important to get into the map yourself and find even more spots to throw nades and spam through walls to gain a bigger advantage.PreNades Like every cpd4 map in search and destroy there are a few nades that can break up traffic. On offense the lower b nade is important for keeping them off the site.
Using smoke on both sides is huge for cutting down on getting picked while crossing the street. On defense throwing a nade in the house out side A building is great for delaying an A rush. Allowing your team mates to get setup in good spots around A. Wall Spam Lower B has an amazing spam spot where you can hit the B plant site. Shooting to the right of the dumpster will lite up any one trying to get the bomb down.
On A side theres a good spot that allows you to clear out a common peek hole.
You can turn up tons of spots like these exploring the map and checking out angles.
CoD4 Crossfire Points of InterestThere are 3 main areas in this map going in strips from top to bottom.A Side A side is surprisingly the less sought after bomb site on crossfire. This doesn't mean that A is dead, A building right next to the site is a key vantage point into B. So if you plan on planting there its a good idea to not only clear this building, but occupy it yourself. Don't forget even while attacking B you have to take control of A side since the map is so wide open.
