EJ "Callisto" Gonzalez and ProGaming-Tips

Hey guys this is EJ "callisto" Gonzalez, webmaster and writer for ProGaming-Tips.com. If you've read a few pages and found them helpful you might be wondering who the gamer behind the site is.

My name is EJ and I am a competitive gamer from the US. Ive been playing video games for as long as I can remember and started PC gaming about 8 years ago. I took the name "Callisto" from one of my favorite games of all time... The CallistoNTG was a kick ass alien assault rifle from the N64 game Perfect Dark.

EJ's Game History

I spent most of my prePC days pissing off other kids on my street in 007 Golden Eye and Perfect Dark before getting a PC in late 2000. My first PC game was Quake 3 Arena which i played until the Battlefield 1942 Demo came out.

Bf1942 was an amazing game when it came out, it was so different from any other game at the time and it remained a fun game years after the release. Then came counter strike source which killed some time until the release of Battle Field 2.

BF2 was a huge let down however and quickly lost its flavor after a few seasons, my teammates and I messed around in FEAR and the Battlefield 2142 beta before the full release. After playing a season of BF2142 I moved on to COD4 which is where we are today...

Callisto's Teams and Placings

Ive spent most of my time competing in the BattleField scene, these are some of the teams and placings we made.

EJ "Callisto" Gonzalez

In the 7 years Ive spent playing competitively I have done every thing from getting flown out to holly wood to play on TV to getting screwed out of the CAL play offs by an incompetent admin.Along the way I have been fortunate enough to play with some of the best players in North America.

ProGaming-tips.com is a compilation of all the tips and tricks Ive either thought up or learned from talented team mates. So why would I want to share these tips that took me years to learn and give them out to the people I normally compete against?

Its because the gap between good players and the average players is bigger than ever. So why should I care? I care because every game thats come out in the past 3 years has sucked... and the reason is because of the skill gap.

Game developers know this and try to give the little guy a shot at killing good players by making the games more and more random. Over the years online games have gotten slower and more random. Counter Strike has one hit kill head shots, BF2 has insane recoil. BF2142 has C4, claymores and motion bombs. CoD4 has grenades, set nades, claymores, M203s, martyrdom and more.

Yet average players dislike these features as much as the seasoned pros. No one likes getting randomed in video games, my tips and tricks will help you navigate these gaming pitfalls.
